Last weekend was held the 11-12 Championship in Québec. Nine swimmers were swimming: Ella Cloutier, Florence Alexander, Marie-Jeanne Gauthier, Ethan Mason, Yianni Vounasis, Thomas Villemure, Kevin Angelov, Tyler Zwirz and Justin Stock. They all went in the mindset of battling hard against the best swimmers of the province.

During the first day, the atmosphere on deck was good. Swimmers were stressed but excited to swim. Despite the anxiety, many of them did great performances. Among these, Tyler Zwirz won the bronze medal in the 200 fly.

Saturday, the nine swimmers continued the job with many best times. Other than that, the group had a great team dinner at Boston Pizza, followed by a charade game and a good hot chocolate.

On the last day of competition, everyone did at least one best time. We were feeling that the athlete were more calm and less stressed. Many of them were doing their first championship. The ride to go back was done in a positive atmosphere… with candy 😉

Coach Christophe is really happy about this weekend. He really liked the team spirit on deck, and think that this attitude is correlated with the results this weekend. The group had an improvement of 104% in all their races.
