Openwater Championship Shawinigan

For our club, it was one of the last competitions this year. In total, 14 swimmers came and participated at this meet. For the vast majority, it was their first experience in open water. Congratulations to all of you who decided to overcome the challenge. The event was a real success and in the coaches’ and swimmers’ name, we want to thank you for it. The coaches also want to congratulate every swimmer who came, without forgetting our Bluefins parents, Martin, Marie-Pier and Patty, who swam the 1km, 2km and 5km.

Canadian Para-swimming Record Alert at the Quebec Cup

Hello everyone
At the Quebec Cup held at Center Claude Robillard from June 28th to July 1st, Gabriel Martel, our para-swimmer, broke the Canadian SB12 class record in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 1:32.44. The old record belonged to Jeff Caughill since 2004. In addition to setting this record, Gabriel took the 4th place in this event in the final.

Jeux du Québec qualifications

Congratulations to Alyssa Ball and Gabriel Martel for their selection on the Lac St-Louis regional team (pool events) in preparation for the Quebec Games Finals, Summer 2018. This event will take place in Thedford Mines from August 1st to August 4th.

Canadian Record Alert

A new Canadian record was set by Gabriel Martel at the Lac St-Louis Jrux du Quebec Trials Saturday, June 9, 2018.

The new record was set in the 50 m breaststroke for the SB12 class with a time of 40.96. The old record belonged to Jeff Caughill, 41.86 in February 2005.
