National Coaches Week is a week to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. This week is an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by simply saying #ThanksCoach!
Here is a reminder of the important dates for the start of the season.
For our club, it was one of the last competitions this year. In total, 14 swimmers came and participated at this meet. For the vast majority, it was their first experience in open water. Congratulations to all of you who decided to overcome the challenge. The event was a real success and in the coaches’ and swimmers’ name, we want to thank you for it. The coaches also want to congratulate every swimmer who came, without forgetting our Bluefins parents, Martin, Marie-Pier and Patty, who swam the 1km, 2km and 5km.

Claude et Christophe
At the Quebec Cup held at Center Claude Robillard from June 28th to July 1st, Gabriel Martel, our para-swimmer, broke the Canadian SB12 class record in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 1:32.44. The old record belonged to Jeff Caughill since 2004. In addition to setting this record, Gabriel took the 4th place in this event in the final.
Congratulations Gabriel, the Bluefins are happy for you!
